Beirut will host the Final Seminar of MedGeneration

ANIMA organises in Beirut the closing of MedGeneration project at the occasion of the 3rd high level Seminar on economic diasporas mobilisation in the Mediterranean. This event will be organised in parallel with the 3rd “EU- Arab Conference to support SMEs” taking place from June 1 to 3, with the support of EUROMED Invest project.

Following the two previous editions which were organised by MedGeneration in 2014 in Marseille and in 2015 in Aqaba with the support of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean and the Union for Mediterranean, ANIMA Investment Network and its partner, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon organise on June 1-2, 2016 in Beirut the third and final High level Seminar of policy advocacy on Economic Diaspora mobilisation in the Mediterranean.

Specific recommendations will conclude the seminar in order to improve the flows, to mark out the way for Diaspora entrepreneurs and to offer new services. It will also be the opportunity to hand to the authorities a white paper for a 2020 strategy for economic diaspora engagement at Euro Mediterranean level. This seminar will gather policy makers, representatives of Mediterranean Diasporas, entrepreneurs, international donors, associations and investment agencies who want to share their views and build new policies to support Diaspora's economic engagement.
 
This high level seminar will be organised in parallel with the 3rd “EU- Arab Conference to support SMEs” taking place from June 1 to 3, with the support of EUROMED Invest project, on the development of industrial competitiveness by the Europe-Mediterranean-Gulf triangular including the organisation of a EUROMED Invest Academy: A high-level seminar on good practices for the promotion of private investment and support to internationalisation of SMEs.
 
Both events will include a joint session on June 2 in the presence of Ministers of Industry of the Arab countries gathered under the patronage of the Minister of Industry of Lebanon. During this major regional event, the opportunity will be given to ANIMA together with its partners, to present its recommendations for a Euro-Mediterranean area economically more integrated and more competitive in 2020.
